Del otro lado /Colombia (Director Iván Guarnizo) Después de los acuerdos de paz, la guerra entre las FARC y el Estado parecía haber terminado, pero siento que la situación dista mucho de ser estable. Mi hermano y yo comenzamos a investigar el secuestro de nuestra madre. Al encontrar el diario que escribió durante su cautiverio, descubrimos la relación casi materno-filial que tuvo con su captor. Ahora que la mayoría de guerrilleros han entregado sus armas, decidimos buscarlo para hablar de ese tiempo oscuro en nuestras vidas. Del Otro Lado es la excusa perfecta para responderme las mismas preguntas que se hacen tantos colombianos: ¿Después de tantas heridas, podemos reconciliarnos?

On the Other Side /Colombia (Director Iván Guarnizo) Although after the peace agreements the war between the FARC and the Colombian state seemed to be over, the situation is far from stable. In this complex political climate, my brother and I begin to research the kidnapping of our mom. When we find the diary she was allowed to write during her captivity, we discover an almost mother/child relationship she had with her captor. Now that most of them have surrendered their weapons and are trying to begin a new life, we set to find him and maybe speak about that dark time in our lives.
